Painting Abstracts

I at first wanted to create something similar to that achieved before xmas.  But also to be able to abstract something from the paintings.

This notion began when I realised that certain areas of the paintings I was creating were interesting in their own right and once abstracted from the rest of the painting held a resonance not found in the painting as a whole.

I took images of these abstracts and this is now what I seek to create in print.  These are an example of the sort of images I have abstracted.

 

The work varies in texture and tone.
